The Role:

As a Motor Vehicle Assessor, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and compliant motor vehicle assessments while continuing to develop your technical capability. This hybrid position includes a mix of live and desktop loss assessing, involvement in operational projects, and providing technical support to vehicle inspectors across Australia and New Zealand.

Interstate travel may be required from time to time, including at short notice, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and collaboration across regions.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform motor vehicle assessments, both live and desktop
  • Review, prepare, and lodge assessments on the Written-Off Vehicle Register (WOVR)
  • Provide technical support and guidance to vehicle inspectors across Australia and New Zealand
  • Assist with identity and compliance-related assessments as required
  • Support business improvement initiatives and participate in operational projects
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and timely outcomes
  • Travel interstate when required to support operational needs

Safety is at the forefront of everything we do. To be employed in this role, you’ll need to successfully complete a pre-employment medical, including a fitness assessment and drug and alcohol testing.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Trade qualification in the automotive industry
  • Certificate IV in Loss Assessing, or willingness and ability to obtain
  • Proven motor assessor or loss assessing experience
  • Strong understanding of motor vehicle assessment standards and compliance
  • Good computer literacy and confidence using assessment systems
  • Strong decision-making and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
  • Manual driver’s licence preferred
  • Willingness to travel interstate at short notice
